Optimizing the printing quality of Flexo printer die cutter slotter machines requires precise adjustment from multiple stages such as paper feeding unit, printing unit, slotting and die-cutting unit.

Paper feeding unit adjustment

The core of the paper feeding unit is to ensure that the cardboard is smoothly and accurately transferred to the printing unit, avoiding the impact of delayed or stacked paper feeding on printing accuracy. Specific adjustments include:

Front baffle: The gap is set to 1.5 times the thickness of the cardboard to avoid excessive stacking and delayed paper feeding.

Paper feeding roller: After adjusting the spacing, the crushing should not exceed 0.1mm of the cardboard thickness, and can be flexibly adjusted in special circumstances.

Side panel and rear panel: The side panel has an additional 2mm in size when aligned with the board, and the distance between the rear panel and the front panel is 3mm wider than the width of the cardboard.

Printing unit adjustment

The printing unit of the Corrugated carton flexo printer slotter die cutter machine directly affects the clarity and color consistency of the pattern, and the following parameters should be focused on:

Printing roller: Press lightly as much as possible while ensuring full color, and the printing crushing should not exceed 0.2mm to prevent the dot from expanding and causing unclear handwriting.

Mesh roller and printing plate: The parallelism needs to be accurate, and it should be lightly touched with the printing plate and kept around the zero point as much as possible. If it cannot be touched, the printing plate should be raised.

Bite paper wheel: The specification should be at least 10mm pressed into the edge of the paper, with a gap of 0.3-0.6mm pressed down by height, and each color should be 0.1mm less than the previous color.

Slotting and die-cutting unit adjustment

The slotting and die-cutting units determine the forming quality of the cardboard box, and the following points should be noted:

Crushing wheel and wire pressing wheel: The spacing between crushing wheels should be less than half of the thickness of the cardboard, and the spacing between wire pressing wheels should be about half of the thickness of the crushing wheel, both based on the standard of not crushing cardboard.

Slotting knife: The distance between the upper and lower knives is about 3mm, and the distance between the paper clips is about 5mm. Sponge can be attached to prevent slipping.

Comprehensive optimization suggestions

Speed coordination: The speed of each unit of the carton box printer slotter machine needs to be matched to avoid inaccurate overprinting or cardboard deformation caused by inconsistent speeds.

Regular maintenance: Clean components such as scrapers and mesh rollers, replace worn parts in a timely manner, and maintain equipment stability.

Process validation: After adjusting the new parameters, trial production is required to check the printing effect and molding quality, and gradually optimize to the optimal state.

By adjusting the above, the accuracy and consistency of carton printing can be significantly improved.
